Meet Nadene Bradburn, BCPA

About Your Elder Care Advocate

Nadene is a Board-Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) with over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience. Her work is shaped by both deep professional knowledge and personal experience. At 24, she survived a life-threatening brain aneurysm, an event that changed how she viewed care and led her to earn a master’s in Health Systems Management.

She has since led clinical departments, launched rural health programs, and served as a volunteer Ombudsman advocating for nursing home residents. Today, she helps families in the DC metro area navigate complex care decisions with clarity, compassion, and integrity.

Let’s Look at the Whole Picture—Together

Collaborative, Client-Centered Senior Care Advocacy

Every client begins with a personalized assessment and strategy report. This first step helps families understand their situation and explore options that support their loved one’s needs and values.

1

Initial Consultation

Once you reach out, we’ll schedule a virtual meeting to talk through your situation. We’ll get to know each other, review service options, and decide if moving forward makes sense.

2

If we continue, I’ll guide you through a detailed intake. We’ll gather medical, personal, and logistical information. You’ll have open access to me during this stage to share updates or ask questions.

3

Using what we’ve collected, I’ll create a written report that outlines care options, services, and planning steps. It’s tailored to your family’s goals and easy to understand.

4

We’ll meet again to go over the report, talk through recommendations, and plan next steps together. This may include additional or ongoing support via hourly consulting or flat-rate services.

Hear From Families We’ve Worked With

I highly recommend The Elder Care Advocate. Nadene guided us through a complex and often overwhelming system to ensure my parents were able to access the support they needed in Washington state. Nadene’s knowledge, dedication, and compassion made the entire process so much more manageable. We are truly grateful for all of her help.

Nadene is someone who supports patients throughout the entire healthcare journey. There were nurses in each doctors’ office who explained why certain treatments were recommended, but Nadene was the one that made sure they were talking to each other as well as me and that nothing fell through the cracks. This was during COVID and some of my doctors’ visits were virtual. It took some time, but eventually things came together. Nadene told me exactly what was going on at every step, and she was optimistic and kind throughout.

I strongly recommend Nadene. I have known her for about a decade and she and I share a professional interest in assisting families grappling with various aspects of patient care for seniors and their families. Nadene has tremendous experience in advocacy and hospital administration; she also has great facility in talking with others and making them feel comfortable. I know her to be forthright and ethical individual and a compassionate ally.
